Theatre – Toronto Monologue Slam

1454643_594365750630222_431573677_nI will be competing in the upcoming Toronto Monologue Slam this Sunday evening at one of the coolest little studio’s, Unit 102.

Premise of this Challenge:

The Toronto Monologue Slam features local up and coming actors performing an intimate and electrifying monologue in a battle to be titled ‘Toronto’s Best Actor’.

With two rounds, each contestant is given three minutes to perform an original or existing monologue and are allowed to use props and costumes that compliment the piece.

Three contestants then move on to Round Two- the REMIX ROUND, where they choose from an array of themes which they have to incorporate into their previous monologue performance. The actor who performs the best monologue receives $100 cash, prizes and is able to defend their title at the next Toronto Slam event. The performances are judged by a panel of experts, from casting directors to fellow actors.

This Sunday:

I will compete against 13 fierce local actors and 5 returning champions. I hope my acting chops and the Monologue I chose from the 1996 American film, Beautiful Girls, will stand out from the rest to come out on top!

Please come on out if you’re free this Sunday at 6pm at 376 Dufferin St. Toronto, ON
